“The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye, until we meet again.” — Jimi Hendrix. It was the last session of my Amal career fellowship 2021 and I was very emotional because I was passionately associated with the fellowship, and it was going to an end. I was worried that this experience will not come again. Everyone had tears in his or her eyes but were concealing their tears. Everyone prepared gratitude cards for Sir Noor Alam and Mam Ayesha and displayed them at the start of the class. Fellows also gave appreciation notes and good wishes to their peers, that was amazing. My feelings are not describable. Thank you so much to every colleague who encouraged other fellows for lifelong learning and passion.

“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.” — Rumi.

My heart was very depressed as the journey was going to an end. Friends were stating their viewpoints and we were expressing gratitude to each other for the efforts. I really loved the gracious notes that everyone showed to their friends which is a hope and tribute for everyone. “Your memory is the glue that binds your life together; everything you are today because of your amazing memory. You are a data collecting being, and your memory is where your life is lived.” -Kevin Horsley.

Apparently, fellows seemed very happy, but at heart, everybody was sad. This was very crucial because everyone was psychologically exhausted due to the burden of everyday work. Activity was performed in which we had to guess the things from a clue and then take a selfie with it. And each of us was moving across the house to our memory in our final session to win this contest. In fact, the competition was that a clue was given in which anything used in our house was concealed and once we understood that we had to take a selfie with it and upload a photograph against the opposing team. It was a very enjoyable activity, and everyone enjoyed it.

“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” — Semisonic. I will try to maintain contact with the Amal Academy and fellows. We will arrange movie sessions every month, interact with each other and share feelings. I will remain in contact with Amal Academy as an alumni. “Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again.” — William Shakespeare.

This experience of fellowship has a great effect on my professional life. I have learned a lot of things from this experience and will practise in my future. I have improved my communication skills, public speaking, resume, cover letter, email writing and many more. These things will help me in my professional life. For getting a job in the industry, this experience will help me stand out from others as I have developed a superhero resume and cover letter, and improved my interviewing skills. I am very sad to leave this amazing fellowship.

“The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. Maybe they always have been and will be. Maybe we have lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we have found each other. And maybe each time, we have been forced apart for the same reasons. That means that this goodbye is both a goodbye for the past ten thousand years and a prelude to what will come.” ― Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook.
